About

The Designer

As a designer, I approach problems with a mindset rooted in curiosity, empathy, and strategic thinking. I begin by clearly defining the problem—often reframing it based on stakeholder goals and user pain points—to ensure we’re solving the right challenge. I prioritize understanding the “why” behind a problem, which allows me to set a strong foundation for effective solutions.

Research plays a central role in my process. When available, I leverage both qualitative and quantitative methods—such as user interviews, surveys, journey mapping, usability testing, and analytics review—to gather insights that go beyond surface-level assumptions. This research not only informs my understanding of user needs and behaviors but also uncovers opportunities that may not be immediately visible. If possible, I collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret findings, ensuring that insights are aligned with business objectives and technical feasibility.

When it comes to design decisions, I balance user needs, business goals, and system constraints. I iterate quickly, using mockups, wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to visualize ideas and test hypotheses. I believe in designing with intent—every interaction, layout, and piece of content must have purpose and clarity. I’m a strong advocate of accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring that my designs work for the broadest range of users possible. Throughout the process, I rely on user feedback and usability testing to validate decisions and continuously refine the experience.

Ultimately, my design process is not linear—it’s adaptive. I believe in staying flexible, using research to guide me, data to support me, and user empathy to inspire solutions that are not only functional but meaningful.

The Human

I’m originally from Los Angeles, raised in Atlanta, and shaped by a mix of culture, creativity, family, and faith. I’ve been happily married for more than twelve years and I’m the proud father of three kids who constantly remind me what joy, curiosity, and resilience look like.

Family is at the center of everything I do. We love traveling, creating YouTube videos together, and discovering new ways to laugh and learn as a team. Music is another thread in my life—I wouldn’t call myself a musician, but I did play saxophone in my college marching band, and I still enjoy listening to and playing whenever I can.

Design is one of my clearest outlets for expression and stress relief. It’s where I find focus and purpose—translating ideas into intuitive, meaningful experiences. When I’m not designing, I’m staying active, exploring day-trading strategies, or investing in real estate.

Across every chapter of my life, one thing stays consistent: if I commit to something, I give it everything I have. That belief guides how I work, how I create, and how I show up for the people who trust me to bring their ideas to life.
